BCNA CEO, Lyn Swinburne AM, spoke of the impact of breast cancer, not only on the 38 woman each day who will be told they have breast cancer, but also on their families, friends, colleagues and communities. She thanked the supporters of the event whose sponsorship will ensure that one hundred per cent of the $50 registration will go directly to supporting Australians affected by breast cancer.

In a moving account of her personal journey with breast cancer, survivor Lisa Seward described BCNA's key resource, the My Journey Kit, as providing a lifeline that allowed her to regain control, when dealing with the overwhelming news of her own diagnosis.
